What will you do?
Deliver standard software and hardware support services, as well as monitoring and maintaining a wide range of information sources, to contribute to the effective delivery of Digital Assistance services.
• Be the point of contact at the duty station for the Beneficiary Management systems (SCOPE) related problems and inquiries.
• Receive incidents and services requests from staff and escalate the tickets to various technical groups as necessary.
• Promptly conduct analysis of all FSP validated Mobile numbers and provide timely feedback/validation reports to the transfers management team.
• Performed analysis, diagnosis and resolution of SCOPE IT problems for end-users, recommend and implement corrective solutions as needed.
• Follow-up on all open and pending tickets and work with the different teams to resolve tickets.
• Deploy SCOPE hardware and software, applications/programs, utility and auxiliary software.
• Conduct SCOPE pre-deployment field assessment missions in all delivery locations.
• Participate in all SCOPE pilot and live distributions and registration of beneficiaries.
• Undertake SCOPE support missions to WFP partners.
• Document software and hardware failures and escalated for corrective actions.
• Avail/upload SCOPE delivery and training documentation on WFP Team Workspace platform.
• Train Area Office staff, NGO partners and stakeholders as required.
• Perform other related duties as required.
• Track equipment / registration kits deployed to the field and produce reports as and when required.
Do you meet the minimum requirements?
Education:
Completion of Secondary School Education is a mandatory.
Experience:
• Minimum 5 years’ work experience in IT, Telecommunications and Information Management and operating systems administration.
• Hands-on experience on biometric systems i.e. setting up and supporting biometric registrations is an added advantage.
Knowledge & Skills:
• Proven Knowledge and ability to effectively use basic software packages and commonly used office equipment.
Languages: • Fluency in both oral and written communication in English and Somali is a requirement (proficiency/level C).

• General knowledge of UN system policies, rules, regulations and procedures governing ICT services. Knowledge of current developments in the IT industry would be an asset.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to deliver timely high-quality deliverables.
• Awareness of overall IT governance structure.
• Knowledge of current IT industry developments.
• Project and time management skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with different stakeholders.
• Critical Thinking ability to analyse situations and make decisions based on on-hand information.
• Ability to work independently on analytical and technical matters with minimum supervision.
