Job Title: Video Editor
Reports To: Operations Manager / Director
Location: Durdur mall1 Hargeisa Somaliland
Job Purpose
To create high-quality video content for the organization’s marketing, branding, and communication purposes. The Video Editor will handle all stages of video production including editing, motion graphics, sound design, and color correction to produce engaging and professional videos that support the organization’s goals.
Key Responsibilities
Video Editing & Production:
• Edit raw footage into polished, professional videos for social media, marketing, events, and advertisements.
• Add motion graphics, transitions, sound effects, and background music.
• Perform color grading, audio enhancement, and corrections.
• Create short-form and long-form videos based on project requirements.
• Ensure all video content aligns with brand guidelines and project objectives.
• Work with the creative and marketing teams to develop storyboards and video concepts.
• Manage and organize video files, footage, and project assets.
• Maintain backup copies of all video projects.
Creative Support:
• Assist in planning and visualizing video ideas.
• Suggest creative improvements to enhance video quality and engagement.
• Stay updated with video trends, editing techniques, and new tools.
Qualifications & Experience
• At least 1–3 years’ experience in video editing.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and other editing tools.
• Experience with color grading, sound editing, and motion graphics.
• Familiarity with different video formats, resolutions, and export settings.
