The Digital Transformative Solutions Specialist (DTS-S) will equip program participants with weather, early warning, agricultural advisory, employment and market information to access and strengthen resilient livelihoods. He/she will oversee the deployment and maintenance of the M-DALAG, Xogsiiye and SHAQO online platforms, technical backstop to the EMERGE technical unit, TVET job placement mechanisms and business coaches, and develop new service offerings to cater for evolving needs. They will support savings groups to better understand and employ digital savings and financial services and collect data to support credit history development. Support the contextualization of coaching approaches, ensuring that digital enablers strengthen outreach to most marginalized groups. S/he will develop human-centered training modules and provide demonstrations in the use of digital technology for program participants. S/he will monitor platform(s) usage and customer satisfaction, analyze trends, and identify success factors/stories.
The position-holder will work with TVET institutions to strengthen their service offerings through the application of digital solutions. He/she will support the EMERGE network of business coaches to link to SMS market/employment information services, focal point-led WhatsApp groups, community cyber cafes, and on-line peer learning and buddy system platforms. The DTS-S will identify collaborations with existing digital entrepreneurial-support platforms (e.g. MESH Kenya) and contextualize content to meet program participant needs. The position-holder will champion interoperability with other UN, NGO, private and government-led job-seeking/job-pairing platforms to improve access to employment opportunities for job-seekers. S/he will link S4T group members to digital savings and other financial services to increase market penetration and financial inclusion. S/he will support SWS MoHADMA and MoAI to develop early warning and agricultural advisory content to share with program participants on EMERGE platforms.
The position-holder will support digital TVET graduates to identify and develop new digital solutions, prepare business plans and compete for the EMERGE Innovation Fund. S/he will provide technical support to digital entrepreneurs to refine their solutions to meet EMERGE program needs and pilot systems. They will represent the consortium in learning groups and technology forums, sharing best practices and identifying future collaborations. | ||
