Job Description: Field Representative


Acquire. Onboard. Retain. Own the Merchant Journey.
We are looking for a versatile, entrepreneurial, and relationship-driven Field Representative to act as the single point of contact for merchants from first introduction to ongoing success. You will prospect, sign up, onboard, and support merchants in Hargeisa, ensuring they not only join Habeeye but thrive on it. As a Field Representative, you own the full merchant lifecycle within your territory. You will hit clear monthly acquisition targets while delivering exceptional onboarding and retention support. Your goal is to build a portfolio of active, satisfied merchants who grow with Habeeye.

Key Responsibilities
Merchant Acquisition
• Proactively identify and visit high-potential local businesses (retail, dining, services) to introduce Habeeye’s platform.
• Clearly articulate platform benefits, address concerns, and guide merchants through the sign-up process.
Onboarding & Training
• Conduct engaging one-on-one or small-group training sessions (in-person and virtual) for newly signed merchants.
• Guide merchants through platform setup, feature utilization, and best practices to ensure a confident start.
Ongoing Support & Retention
• Serve as the first line of support for merchant inquiries via phone, chat, and email—providing timely, empathetic solutions.
• Proactively check in with merchants to gather feedback, understand evolving needs, and ensure they achieve their goals.
• Identify “at-risk” merchants (low activity) and implement outreach strategies to re-engage and educate them on value.
Market Intelligence & Advocacy
• Act as the voice of the merchant internally, relaying feedback, common challenges, and opportunities to sales, product, and operations teams.
• Provide insights on local trends and the competitive landscape to help shape Habeeye’s strategy.

• Tech Proficiency: Comfortable with mobile apps, CRM systems, and basic business software.
• Local Knowledge: Deep familiarity with the Hargeisa business landscape, culture, and community (essential).
• Language: Fluency in Somali and strong proficiency in English.
• Experience: Prior experience in field sales, B2B sales, merchant acquisition, customer success, or training is a strong plus.


Performance Expectations


• Minimum monthly target: 20 successfully onboarded and approved merchants (new acquisitions).
• Retention metrics: Low merchant churn and high engagement (measured through activity and satisfaction). Terms
• Contract Type: Independent Contractor (6-month term, renewable by email).
• Working Hours: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM, 6 days per week (Friday off).
• Location: Hargeisa, hybrid (field visits + remote support).
